For the past few weeks and for the next few weeks I am signing diplomas in the random pockets of time I might have. These are beautiful one-of-a-kind works that are hand calligraphed by our very own Professor Alba Corrado. Currently I am 30% finished I believe. Special thanks to my staff members Denise Siomkin and Marina Mihalakis for force-feeding me these delicacies.

It’s wonderfully exciting to imagine that with each of these signed diplomas there is an actual RISD student that labored extremely hard for the last 2, 3, 4, or 5 years! It reminds me of the scene in one of my favorite movies, It’s a Wonderful Life, and the reference to how with each bell you hear an angel has earned their wings. Looking forward to seeing our graduates at commencement this year! Be sure to wear your clothes! -JM
