“Project RISD” in Vogue Knitting

We were excited to learn that the Spring/Summer 2012 issue of Vogue Knitting features a detailed look at RISD|CE instructor Rhonda Fargnoli and her inventive work with middle and high school students in CE’s Young Artist Program.

Rhonda’s popular knitwear design course is offered each summer to students interested in fashion or textile design. With the help of the Vogue Knitting editors, and Project Runway as a model, her 2011 class was dreamed up as the “Vogue Knitting Challenge.” The winning student, Mary Wesalowski, is also profiled in the magazine alongside instructions for creating her Chihuly-inspired cowl design.
