Facing Depression

A new solo exhibition, Sinking, by Clara Lieu 98 IL, a Critic in Printmaking and Foundation Studies, is a visualization of her personal experience with depression and anxiety. Through a series of 50 large-format portraits, she explores the many states of emotion she experienced during these difficult episodes and her feelings of being physically and mentally out of control before she began the treatment that has since brought her relief. The show is at the Brown/RISD Hillel Gallery, 80 Brown St, Providence, through April 4.
