Luscious Little Quarterly

What a sweet surprise to open my paper mail today and find a yummy copy of the very first issue of Sweets & Bitters Quarterly, a wonderfully visual seasonal journal cooked up by several alumni and kickstarted via Kickstarter (see OUR mid-summer post).

The brainchild of Hannah Kirschner 06 PT, an urban farm girl, bartender and baker based in Brooklyn, the engaging little book and accompanying site have a great look thanks to creative direction by Isaac Gertman MFA 08 GD of Paperwhite Studio. Fellow alum Mira Evnine BArch 06 is in on all this, too – as publisher.

The Sweets & Bitters site offers great recipes and a few sweet & silly how-to videos (as in The Lost Art of Washing Dishes). But the real treat is browsing through the tasty little printed quarterly itself.
