Talking Preservation

RISD faculty and alums (and a couple of both) were everywhere at last week’s Providence Preservation Society (PPS) symposium Not Always Pretty – Behind the Façade of Historic Preservation in Providence, which ran from October 11–13.

Architecture professors Wilbur Yoder BArch 62 and Jim Barnes BArch 69, along with architects Cory De Boer BArch 70 and Ralph Beckman BArch 74, and dancer, illustrator and overall man of good taste Brian Jones 75 IL participated in a panel discussion on Industrial Preservation in Providence. 

And, of course, alum James Hall MLA 94 continues his good work towards preserving our fair capital in his role as executive director of PPS.
