Now that it’s officially spring, it’s also admissions season at colleges across the country – meaning social media is abuzz with 17- and 18-year-olds who are either wicked excited or sorely disappointed.

A few early responses to RISD acceptance letters are shown above. And at today’s “open house” on campus, Director of Admissions Ed Newhall told the accepted students and parents in attendance that one of his favorite responses to the acceptance letters he signs was the student who posted:

“I will stare at this letter for the rest of my life. If it were a person, I would make out with it!”
