Eric Pike 83 GD has been named Editor-in-Chief at Martha Stewart Living, where he has worked as a creative director since 1992 and has been largely responsible for creating the look and feel of the magazine.
Under Pike’s direction, the circulation of MSL and related books has risen to more than 2 million and the magazine has won three national awards for photography and design from the American Society of Magazine Editors. He and the other RISD alums at MSLO have said they find it a particularly inspiring place to work because it encourages the same focus on process as at RISD.
“Eric has worked with me for over 20 years and has been instrumental in the development of the Martha Stewart brand,” Stewart said in the announcement about his new role. “I look forward to working with Eric and his team at Martha Stewart Living as they continue to produce the best editorial content available at any lifestyle magazine.”
